''The Essential Vince Gill'' is a compilation album containing songs by country music artist Vince Gill, released in 1995.〔(Erlewine, Michael, ed. (Hal Leonard Corporation, 1997) )〕 It is not strictly a greatest hits album; while it includes his early hits "Oklahoma Borderline" and "Cinderella" and an alternate early version of his #3 "Never Knew Lonely", it is strictly a compilation of Gill's 1980's recordings with RCA Nashville. It is part of BMG International's The Essential series of compilation albums.
